Originally pursuing an Information Systems degree at Georgia State University, Jimi’s career path turned to health and fitness as a result of his own quest for self improvement. His goals as a trainer and a group instructor are to provide unparalleled support and safe, effective instruction. With his personal training clients, Jimi seeks to save them from the guesswork, trial and error, misinformation, wasted time and effort, and injuries that most endure in the pursuit of their fitness goals. His strengths lie in developing caring relationships with clients and class participants, helping clients achieve tangible results in a timely manner, and offering a higher level of service to his clients to create long-term value.
“My approach is simple: Be consistent, accountable and do what works. Building a better body is a challenging and sometimes unpleasant process, but the rewards are infinite, and the benefits obtained are much greater than those you see in the mirror.”
Jimi served as both a founder and board member of the Atlanta Association of Fitness Professionals, an organization he helped to pioneer in order to ensure fair standards and compensation across the board for local fitness instructors and personal trainers.
Jimi is a Desert Storm combat veteran with eight years of military service and is the grandson of Jimmy Lanham, Sr., decorated pilot of the distinguished 332nd Fighter Group, known more commonly as the Tuskegee Airmen--The first African-American pilots in U.S. military history. |
